Vacuum Glass Lifters

Glass Lifters: Safe and Efficient Glass Handling Solutions

Glass lifters are powerful tools for safe handling and installation of large glass panels in industries like construction, glazing, and renovation. These devices (such as vacuum suction lifters and suction cup cranes) are essential as modern buildings increasingly feature larger and even curved glass elements. By securely gripping each pane, glass lifters boost efficiency, often allowing a single operator to move heavy sheets instead of multiple workers, and dramatically improve safety by reducing manual handling risks and potential breakages.

Manual Glass Lifters

Hand-operated glass lifters use one or more suction cups with a hand-pump or lever to create vacuum. Common designs include single-cup and multi-cup lifters. A great example is the SLA2 or SLA4, ideal for smaller panes and indoor use.

Vacuum Glass Lifters (Electric & Pneumatic)

These are powered by electric motors or air pumps and can handle much heavier panels. For instance, the VA114E offers a lifting capacity of 500 kg and is attachable to cranes. For even greater capacity and flexibility, check out the VA117, which includes a dual vacuum system, tilt/turn capability, and radio control.

Electric Glass Lifters

Battery-powered models such as the Twin400 or Twin500 offer excellent mobility. These systems are ideal for projects that require handling curved glass or longer duration lifts.

Crane-Mounted Glass Lifting Systems

When lifting extremely heavy or oversized panels, products like the VA103FS provide industrial lifting power. Designed for use with overhead cranes or in storage setups, they handle up to 1200 kg.

Glass lifters are essential in:

  • Construction & Glazing: Curtain walls, façades
  • Renovation: Glass replacement
  • Manufacturing: Auto glass, windows
  • Warehousing: Safe and efficient glass handling
  • Interior Fit-out: Glass furniture, mirrors

FAQ

  1. Our lifters are grouped in four levels based on height, load capacity, and complexity:
    • Level 1: For ground-floor or indoor use (up to 1.8 m). Manual or basic battery lifters like the SLA2.
    • Level 2: Versatile machines for up to 400 kg, suitable for small repairs and limited-space areas.
    • Level 3: Advanced dual-safety lifters with remote control, designed for high-elevation or heavy-duty glass panels (e.g. Twin500).
    • Level 4: Integrated systems for industrial use with 220V/380V or battery operation (e.g. VA103FS).

  2. For curved or oversized glass, we recommend vacuum lifters with adaptable pad systems such as the VA813 or the VA117, both of
which feature turn and tilt functions and dual vacuum systems.

  3. Yes. Most of our battery-powered lifters (e.g. VA114E) are designed for one-person operation, especially when combined with compact lifting aids like the Gevelridder.

  4. Absolutely. Systems like the VA800E/B come with a vacuum pad quick-change system, allowing you to switch between pads for different panel types (glass, steel, sandwich panels, etc.).

  5. Our range spans from manual lifters for 150–250 kg up to dual vacuum systems handling over 2500 kg, like the VA117.

  6. Yes. Our machines are equipped with safety features such as:
    • Dual vacuum circuits (from level 3 upwards)
    • Pressure sensors
    • Warning systems
    • Annual inspection requirements, as outlined in our Safety Checklist.

  7. Yes. We offer a full range including:
    • Transport trolleys: e.g. GL300
    • Manual installers: e.g. H905S Windowmate
    • Balanced lifters: e.g. H103C

  8. Yes. Models like the VA800 Low or the Windowmate are designed specifically for tight indoor environments, with compact frames and maneuverability.
